The film tells the story of Murugan, who lives by ironing the clothes of other people.

He lives in a slum and speaks a mix of Malayalam and Tamil, as he comes from Tamil Nadu.

He is the representative of many Tamil descendants who live in Kerala to make a living.


He looks after his children Mayil, Azhagappan and Malli who is blind, after the death of his wife.

He dreams to revive the eyesight of his daughter Malli.

He does all he could, to make his dream come true. Padmapriya appears in the film as Poonkodi who makes a living by Begging in the streets.

Murugan's life takes a new turn when Poonkodi enters his life. The film is all about the unlimited love and compassion that the people in the slums share between themselves.

The film also features actors like Meena, Shreya, Arya, TG Ravi, Jagathy Sreekumar, Salim Kumar, Sreehari, Sreekala, Baby Suhaila, Baby Malavika and Master Tejas.

One of the highlights of the movie will be slums erected by the art director Suresh Kollam, who has won many accolades before for his artistry.

Mohan Sithara has composed the music for the two songs in the film with lyrics written by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Verma.

P Sukumar wields the camera for the flick produced by Vallabhan and Kaladharan under the banner of GV Productions. K Rajagopal is the editor.
